WHAT IS HUNTINGTONS DISEASE ????
Huntington's disease is an dominant degenerative neurological disease. This disease is cause by a gene placed on an autosome and it only take one copy of the gene for this disease to occur. This disease is affected in both male and females equally. This disease is most common in ages thirty to forty but it can also occur in children. People with this disease usually only live fifteen to twenty years after symptoms begin.

There are many symptoms of Huntington's disease. Initial symptoms of this disease include movement disorder , cognitive disorder, bipolar disorder, and behavioral and physical changes. Patients with this disease will often experience forgetfulness, clumsiness, slurred speech and if in school will show a massive decline in performance.
In the early stage of this disease patients will experience cognitive disorders and experience mood swings. They will also experience a lack of coordination and uncontrollable twitching. In the mid-stage the patient will start to loose their memories and become very forgetful. They wont be as alert and will start to forget how to do things such as say certain words. In the last stage the patient is unable to care for themselves. The patient will be under intensive care as death will shortly be around the corner.
